This is not a writer’s block – It’s a total loss of motivation for blogging. It happens sometimes in every blogger’s career – at least a good percentage of bloggers have for one time faced with this.
How do you manage to hit the ground running again?
Sounds difficult; coming back to, am done with this crazy thing called “blogging”.
Tried everything the “Guru’s” preach; yet nothing happens, no success in sight, no readers’ interactions, no traffic, no sales, no affiliate commission, no nothing!
Wait a second; you’re not alone in this – it is not so peculiar to blogging alone……it happens in every walks of life. People in different fields, industries, businesses, trades, commerce etc. at a point in time, got tired of everything and wanted to throw in the towel.
But remember, if you do give up and say goodbye, this may eventually turn to habit and each time you come across an obstacle in any undertaking, the next acceptable option that comes to your mind is to quit and find something else.
Except that you started blogging for a quick fix, I mean if what you want from blogging is quick money – then no amount of motivation for blogging will boost your moral back to it – Blogging.
Human beings are known to be insatiable and ever desire something more: love, money, power, fame, authority, perfection, comfort, etc.
If any of these things caught your attention while you’re reading this post and you feel the desire to have it in great quantity, then, believe me you can get your motivation for blogging back in no time.
Sit down and visualize how your life would be if you can achieve your goals in blogging. How that dream life of yours would appear in reality; and you’re no more dreaming about living it because you’re now living the laptop life style in reality.
If all tactics, strategies, advises… I mean everything you’ve been given to get back your motivation to blog have failed; don’t worry – there is one more left to try.
I once found myself in your situation and it got to a point I almost sold my laptop so I could get rid of the temptation of going back to blogging. I thought to myself, once this evil thing called laptop was no longer seen on sight, it would be all over with blogging and the internet.
Then it came down on me how I had earlier promised my wife what our life would look like if I could create a blog that I could call a business and live full-time off it, and be financially buoyant while earning our living online.
How I had been dreaming of taking her on a two weeks’ vacation to Paris in France so we could see and meet with different people from different cultures.
How I would be able to decide on where I work, how I work, how much I earn, when I get paid, how I get paid – In fact be in full control of my business.
How I had said to my son, when he grows up I would love him to create a blog of his own and eventually do some amazing things with it.
Just like magic, the fire inside me started burning, and all the motivation I needed in this world to get going with blogging was found in the people I loved most. Then I realized the power of love and how it can turn around the course of anything… I mean anything.
On top of all emotions that compel people to take certain action; risk their life for something, believe in something blindly, stick forever to something…….love is the strongest of it all.
- Do you have a wife or a girlfriend you really love from the bottom of your heart?
- Do you have those lovely kids every father would love to have and give the best of caring?
- Do you have a mother you really adore like an Angel?
If these people exist in your life; think about how the future would be if you could build that dream blog of yours? How you had dreams of taking your wife on a vacation to the beach with the money you’d make from blogging.
How you had planned on giving your child the best of education and send him to that school you had wanted. How bitterly you had hated your 9-5 day job and hope that this blogging thing would give you the security and comfort you deserve.
It is your dream to build that blog of yours so you can be financially independent and live the life of your dream.
If you really love these people and wanted to care for them as you have promised, get your ass back to blogging and this time around; do it for real and cut of distractions, focus on positive things that speed up the progress of your blogging career.
Don’t blog on free tools/services – get premium quality tools and appreciate other bloggers who will help you in no small measure speed up the progress of your blogging career and until you get this right, your blogging career may just be crawling like a snail.
I wish you the very best in blogging.
