How To Unsubscribe from Unwanted Emails in Yahoomail

It can really be annoying when someone keeps bombarding your mail box with unsolicited mails and you are totally helpless because there is no way to unsubscribe from such mails. Some of the senders deliberately make it impossible for you to unsubscribe from their mailing list.
Your mail address may have been harvested from an email address generating software and then they are used to harass you on daily basis. Some of the mails even arrive in your inbox multiple times a day.
Now you don’t need to bother whether there is the unsubscribe link on the unwanted mail or not. Yahoomail now makes it easier for you to free yourself using an app, ‘Otherinbox’. With this app it is possible to tell yahoomail what mail address you don’t want to deliver mail to your inbox anymore.
The Procedure?
  1. Now sign in to your yahoo mail account and go straight to ‘Applications’. You will find this on the left sidebar of your inbox. As you click on ‘Apps’, you will see the list of available applications.

  3. Click on ‘Unsubscriber By Otherinbox’ as shown above and follow the provided instructions to grant the app an access to your yahoo mail account. You will receive a message like this:
“Welcome
Thanks for signing up for Unsubscriber, the simplest way to stop emails you don’t want. Just move unwanted messages to the Unsubscribe folder and we’ll take care of the rest.
To make things even easier, Unsubscriber also suggests emails you might want to unsubscribe from by quickly analyzing your inbox. This takes just a few minutes and we’ll send you an email when it’s complete. Then, you can browse the suggestions and unsubscribe from any you no longer want. It’s a satisfying way to simplify your inbox.

  1. As soon as you receive a mail from Otherinbox in your yahoo mail box, click on the link provided for you to open your unsubscriber account. See pic above.
   4. Choose the email provider (usually you will see AOL, Gmail and Yahoo. Select Yahoo and continue. When you are through, you will receive a confirmation that your unsubscriber folder has been set up.
To move an email into the created folder, go to your inbox, select the mail and click on ‘Move selected emails to a folder [D]’. (You will find the link in your top panel). Your email is then moved into the unsubscriber folder.
Remember never to move a mail from your spam box into the unsubscriber folder. Only mails in the inbox should be moved to the folder. If you move a mail from your spam box, yahoo would think you made a mistake by sending it to the spam box in the first place. So they would remove it from your spam box into your inbox.
Whenever you send a mail to the folder, you will be alerted to find out if your action was a mistake or not. If you send one into it by mistake then you can undo your action from the mail they sent you.
